Moose, a 13-year-old Hurricane Sandy survivor, wholeheartedly defies the idea that an old dog can’t learn new tricks. He came to the Sanctuary when his boundless energy proved a bit much for the close quarters of New York City, but here he was able to channel that into endless learning. He became a whiz at agility, mastered a ton of fun tricks, and even learned to “read” a few of his cues off cards. In his older age, spondylosis and a weakened hind end have slowed him down physically, but his mind is still just as sharp. And he’s always ready to learn more.
